Questions and answers
About the method, the training, supervision, and when it is better to start with one-to-one sessions.
General
Can I use EFT on my own at home?
Yes. You can learn the basics from my book or on the Level 1 training. For harder topics it's worth working with an experienced practitioner.
Is EFT safe?
The tapping itself is gentle and non-invasive. Strong emotions can come up, though, so with serious mental health difficulties it's best to work under a specialist's care.
Does EFT replace psychotherapy?
No. It's a complementary method that can support other kinds of help, but it does not replace treatment or psychotherapy.
Will I have to talk about my trauma?
No. In training we work on smaller, everyday topics: stress, tension, daily situations. You learn safe ways of working with difficult memories, but you never have to share anything you don't want to.
Is the training recorded?
No. We work live, in a group of up to 8 people. That keeps it confidential and the practice real.
Can I go straight to Level 2?
No. Level 2 requires a completed Level 1.
What is supervision and what does it cost?
Monthly online group meetings of about 1 to 1.5 hours where we discuss your sessions and questions. Supervision is free with no time limit, including after your diploma.
When is it better to wait?
If you're under psychiatric treatment, living with a serious mental health condition, or have recently been through a severe trauma, start with one-to-one sessions.
